HETAS Landlord Inspection

HETAS Safety Inspections are regularly requested by estate agents, letting agents, holiday homes and private landlords as well as housing associations. If you let a property you are responsible under the Landlord Safety Act 1985 and the Health and Safety Act for all heat producing appliances, that they are safe and serviced annually.

Landlords Safety Act 1985 states "working and servicing of all heating and hot water installations" although this wording can seem ambiguous, this also refers to open fires, Rayburns, Agas, coal and wood burning stoves.

New Homeowner Inspection Service – Ideal for those who have moved into a new property with an existing fireplace with little recorded history of its installation/usage.

CCTV Inspections – To help identify issues which may be causing a danger, to check for blockages or to check the health of the installation/flue, this is especially important in thatched properties.

Birds Nest Removal – In accordance with the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 nests, debris and twigs can only be removed between August and February.
